- Prepare 500 g minced beef
- Make ready 200 ml water
- Prepare 1 large carrot
- Get 1 celery stalk

- Make ready 1 tsp tomato paste or tomato ketchup
- Get Masshed potoates (white or purple vitelotte)

- Chop the onions, carrots and celery into small squares and sweat them on a low heat for around 20 minutes. Add the garlic to sweat for a few minutes near the end.
- Remove the softened vegetables from the pot and brown the mince.
- Once the mince is browned return the vegetables to the pot with the mince and add the stock pod, water and tomato puree/sauce and simmer for around 30 minutes.
- Heat the oven to around 180 degrees celsius.
- Spread the mashed potato over the top of the mince and vegetables.
- Grate the cheese and sprinkle on top of the mash.
- Put the pot into the oven for 30 minutes and once the cheese is nice and melty take it out and serve.
